Why no deadline was found
What it means when a tender brief cannot extract a deadline and how to check the buyer pack.
Why this happens
Some packs put the submission date only in a portal field, amendment notice, timetable attachment, or clarification response rather than in the main documents. TenderReader should not invent a deadline when the source text does not support one.
A missing deadline is a review signal, not proof that no deadline exists. The safest next step is to open the buyer notice, portal, and timetable files before committing bid-writing time.
What to check
Search the original pack for submission, deadline, return date, ITT timetable, clarification, portal, interview, site visit, mobilisation, and contract start.
If the source documents conflict, use the buyer portal or a clarification question as the authority. Do not rely on TenderReader to choose between contradictory buyer dates without evidence.
