What confidence scores mean
How to read confidence labels without turning them into a false guarantee.
Confidence is a check signal
A high score means the field has clear supporting text in the pack. A medium score means the answer is plausible but should be checked against the source passage. Low confidence means check the source passage before using the field in a bid decision.
Confidence is not a win prediction and it is not legal, procurement, financial, or professional advice. It is a prompt to review the underlying evidence faster.
How to use it
Start with deadlines, eligibility, values, and mandatory evidence. If any of those fields has low confidence, open the source evidence, search the original pack, and treat the brief as a pointer rather than a final answer.
